YouTube SEO in 2026: How To Rank Any Video Fast
Everything a video's metadata can tell you
One click surfaces the fields YouTube keeps out of sight, in a panel built for copying and comparing.
The full tag list
Every keyword the creator set, de-duplicated. Click a tag to copy it, or jump straight to that tag's YouTube search results.
An SEO score, not a vibe
A 0–100 rating built from title length, description depth, tag count, tag budget, hashtags and keyword overlap — each with a concrete fix.
Complete metadata
Video ID, channel ID, category, publish date, duration, views, likes, description and every thumbnail resolution — each with a copy button.
Tag budget meter
YouTube caps the combined tag field at 500 characters. A live meter shows how much of that budget a video actually uses.
Export in three formats
Download the tag list as .txt or .csv, or grab a full .json dump of the metadata, score and every individual check.
Nothing leaves your browser
No account, no server, no analytics, no storage. The extension reads one tab when you click it, and forgets everything when you close the popup.
Three clicks, no setup
It reads the video the same way YouTube's own player does, so the data always matches what is actually on screen.
Open a video
Any watch page, Short or live stream on youtube.com. Nothing runs until you ask it to.
Click the icon
The extension reads the metadata of that one tab, straight from the player, and fills the popup instantly.
Copy or export
Copy one tag, copy all of them, or export the whole report. Switch tabs for details and the SEO breakdown.
There is no data to leak
This is not a policy promise bolted on afterwards — the extension has no server to send anything to.
- ✓No analytics, telemetry or crash reporting of any kind.
- ✓No
storagepermission — nothing is saved between sessions. - ✓Access to one tab, only at the moment you click the icon.
- ✓The only network request goes to youtube.com, with cookies stripped.
One click from the Chrome Web Store
Installs in seconds, asks for nothing, and shows up in your toolbar ready to use on the next video you open.
Add to ChromeFree · No account · No data collected
Also works in Microsoft Edge, Brave, Opera, Vivaldi and Arc.
Frequently asked
Are these the video's real tags?
Yes. They are the keywords the uploader entered in YouTube Studio, read from the same player data YouTube itself uses to render the page. They are not guesses, and they are not pulled from a third-party database.
Why do some videos show no tags?
Because the creator did not set any. Tags are optional, and plenty of large channels skip them entirely. That is a real finding about the video, not an extraction failure — the Details and SEO panes still work normally.
Does it work on Shorts and live streams?
Yes. Watch pages, Shorts and live streams are all supported, and the data stays correct when you navigate between videos without reloading the page.
Can you see which videos I look at?
No. There is no server involved and no logging. Everything happens inside your browser, and the extension has no way to report back even if it wanted to.
Will the SEO score tell me whether a video will rank?
No — and treat any tool that claims otherwise with suspicion. The score measures how completely and sensibly the metadata fields are filled in. That is one input among many, alongside watch time, click-through rate and audience retention, none of which are visible from outside.
Does it change anything on YouTube?
No. The extension only reads. It never writes to the page, submits anything, or alters what you or anyone else sees on YouTube.
